Possible relocation this year. I was wondering what the gaming scene is like. I would be in Kansas.

Well, their local show "Recruits" was always great. Contact Duane at Syr Hobbes Wargames, he's very hooked in to the local scene I think.

Friends of mine here in St. Louis tell me recruits is great! They very much enjoy attending. Evidently the people who run it are nice and do a very good job. I may go this year if I can. There is also a WWI museum that is supposed to be very good, too.

What are your areas of interest? I know there are several different groups, but they are mostly informal. There are several different stores on both sides of the state line.

Tabletop Game and Hobby is the one I frequent the most. Wide variety of board and miniature games. Plus they also have a game room with a number of tables ( 10+ ) . Most places also run events on a regular basis.

As already mentioned, the Recruits Convention ( recruitsconvention.com ) is always lots of fun. I just wish it ran twice a year still!

I'd be happy to try and answer any questions as well.

Thanks guys I appreciate the help. I would not mind gaming in a KFC especially one with a buffet.

There is a lot of gaming going on in KC. As mentioned Recruits is put on in the fall around Labor Day. Tabletop Game and Hobby has a lot of gaming going on; Tuesday night is a big night for historical gaming. In the North of the metro there is usually a game on Thursday evenings. Drop me an email at kingoftherillatyahoodotcom Let me know your area of interest and I may be able to provide you with more detailed options.
