Back in the 80s, I bought some "true 25mm" Jacobite Highlanders.
They were advertised in a British modeling/wargaming magazine.
I forget the name of the magazine and range both.
Can anyone help me here? I kind of think they were a house brand of the magazine.

I have a strange "need" to have as many different manufacturers in my army as look good, and to total up the number after a game.
I'm doing an AWI game with Highlanders next Saturday, with them.
Yes, I know. Troiani to the contrary, the Highlanders at Moore's Creek Bridge were unlikely to wear tartan kilts or trews. I don't care!
I just want to use them!

And if on the off chance I see a deal on eBay, I'd like to get more. But it would help to know who made them. grin

Tradition Magazine? They had wargames figures in several sizes.

Very well could have been Warrior figures John. Der Alte Fritz used to have some painted Warrior figures and they were actually quite nice in this range. Also Warrior used to have an add in every Miltary Modeling, just a small add usually offering one of their armies at a special price.

May have been Military Modeling.
They were advertised on page 2 of the magazine, along with Marlburians. I think.
And they were a house brand, sold through the magazine. I think. grin

John, I'm pretty sure those were the Warrior Miniatures figures. Here is a link to their site and, specifically, some of their Jacobites.

They are still one of the least expensive ranges around, they are true 25's, and the quality is pretty good on some of their ranges. They even offer a Jacobite grab bag – 100 assorted Jacobites for 40 pounds.

I think I've had these figures sold to me under a few names now. RSM, Dayton, and another. Never seen them as Warrior before, but obviously the range has changed hands. Weapons and shields cast separately.
