Just purchased the Hudson and Allen Alamo, any recommendations on the base color before i drybrush lighter colors? Or if anyone else has any other ideas im listening? Thanks

The surviving Alamo Chapel and Long Barracks, and presumably the other walls and structures are constructed out of local limestone. Even where plastered, they would have used the same base material. The stone has a very light tan hue. I think you'd be better using a brown pallet, starting with dark brown and ending with a pale ivory or eggshell color, rather than Black/Gray/White.

Photos online of a darker grayish Alamo Chapel seem to be pictures of the movie set in Brackettville, which is c. 125 miles away and different stone.

Mine is primed reddish brown and drybrushed off white. I then painted the woodwork burnt umber, IIRC.
