Is anyone doing a wargame on the Syrian civil war? It has been a few years, so I am curious if anything is happening with miniatures or even with board game?
much thanx!

In the case of miniatures, Elhiem makes 20MM modern Syrian Army, Russian special forces, and various insurgents.

O3/Pico Armor has them in 15mm too. They also sell opposition troops too called "volunteers". This range seems more aimed at the Ukraine though.

These guys are best for VDV and Spetsnaz.

Khurasan has a small range too.

These are aimed at the Syrian Conflict.

You can find them here:

He also has a small but useful range of Cold War troops and vehicles that can be dragooned into service.

The Modern Combat range has some useful stuff too. Mostly terrorists to fill in for Irregulars or troops with an Afgan look.

This range has a lot of stuff too. T55s are a big part of the AFV inventory in the war as are the BMPs.

I would imagine that QRF has everything else you need to round out your Syrian Conflict collection. Mostly in the CIS/Soviet section.

15mm is a great way to go. Good details, especially on the Kurasans, and good prices on the AFVs. If you're building skirmish forces for platoon + you can build whole armies on the cheap. Gotta love 15mm.

Tgunner: nice job with all the links and the post! I appreciate it when a poster lays the information out very clearly with links!

Glad to help. I'm doing more of a Ukraine/Baltics thing myself, but I've had the Syria itch too. So I've done a little research!

What rules are you guys planning to use? I have a bunch of 15mm modern stuff. I got started with AK-47 and then Metal Storm, but haven't really found anything ideal.

How about miniature rules that have a recent update?

Board games?

I found the following thru Boardgame Geek, is a card game:

but have not played it.
