Hey guys, I need a turn based game that I can play against my nephew in the military. He likes Scifi and Fantasy. really enjoys large battles or campaign strategy games. Looking for something that we can alternate sending moves or builds. Smart kid just doesn't have anyone to play against. Thanks |

Are you planning on playing face to face when he visits, or long distance (play be email, etc)? |

If play by email, I'm trying to think of games that he can use paper maps or something like CyberBoard. Ogre comes to mind, maybe WarpWar: link Battle Tech's Alpha Strike, Quick Start rules are here: link Maybe Memoir 44 |

If you don't have it, I recommend VASSAL as your platform. |

Ground combat or space? Battlelore, part of the Commands and Colours system, will be slow because of alternate activations, but is pretty simple and plays well. |
