"Double tapping" Topic

I have noticed many double postings in thresds and comments and think I know why as it use to happen to me but no more.
There is a lag time often between submit to actual post so if you double tap you get two postings. Hit submit and wait, a minute sometimes maybe more occasionally but do not resubmit until sure it didn't go through

I waited a minute, added onto original and it still doubled

I have a Samsung galaxy tablet, the first posting wsited a minute at least and nothing happened so added to it and hit submit again. But this I am sure ix the issue leading to double postings

Probably not due to tapping. If the server fails to process a request and times out, it sometimes renews the request. My best guess is that this is a multiple renewal problem.

I have a possible solution in mind, but need some time to work on it. Hopefully things will be quiet through the holidays, and I'll have some 'quality time' on the server.

Bill you have a better understanding of it than me, just bringing up observations that seem constant to me. This was the first double posting for me in awhile as have been waiting.

I thought this was going to be about Delta Force hitting the target bad guy twice.
