Cool model! Spuyten Duyvil was a treacherous tidal area which is now landfilled. If you pronounce it in a classic Colonial Dutch accent (aka Brooklyn accent!), you will discover that the Dutch name is cognate with English "Spitting Devil"! An apt name for a torpedo boat =^,^= |
