Does anyone know where I can find a color illustration depicting Somalian lancers for the early 16th century? According to my DBR book, they wore chainmail and had lances. I'd like to find some suitable 15mm figures. They are the last unit I need to complete my Somalian army. Thanks. |

link I'd say these would fit the bill nicely. Alot of the armies of the Sahel region seem to have had a similar look and didn't change a whole lot. I am thinking of using these guys for both Songhai and Bornu Empire armies. |

The heavy cavalry in chainmail and turbans is exactly what I'm looking for. I knew the hive mind would come through. |

Actually, there is only one slight problem. Somali shields were round, not rectangular. But I might have to compromise. |

the shields are separate so you can add some beja shields or something instead and have them look proper. |
