The battle of Rolica makes for an interesting scenario, testing the players skill to conduct a fighting withdrawal aiming to delay and cause casualties without becoming embroiled in an unwinnable overwhelming all out assault.

Of course the Anglo-Portuguese are looking to achieve the opposite whilst also avoiding unnecessary casualties

The order issuing process in OTH adds further to the potential and we tested the idea in this, the latest of our series of OTH scenario games

Excellent report! Enjoyed the pictures of scenario, and terrain setup. Wondering how are the rules working out.

Thanks J.J. I really like the thought you put into creating choke points in the path of advance. I have been thinking about putting this on at the next convention and found your scenario for Carnage & Glory II invaluable.

Thanks for your comments chaps, glad you enjoyed the read. The rules work very well and we have have found them very easy to make scenario specific adaptions to when required.
Next one up and the last before Xmas will be Ventosa Farm, Vimeiro.
Cheers
JJ

A great AAR and really interesting scenario. And the battle looked beautiful, of course. It has me inspired to get OTH for some of the smaller engagements I want to try. Thanks!
