Did those vehicles really work? What kind of engines did they have to pull all that weight?

Dan the simple answer would be no. However on occasion they did prove useful just keep them on the roads. The engines were the basic commercial engines of the trucks tractors the were built on. Under powered is an understatement! ;-)

As effective afv's they were largely useless. But….in the land of the blind the one eyed man is king- so if nothing else available they would be useful.
