Hi all,

Looking to buy a couple of FT-17 for different projects.

I'm aware of HLBS, Empress, 1st Corps, Warlords and Trenchworx, but have not seen any close up.

Are there other options, and what are the models like?

I have the Trenchworx one and it is a nice kit – multiple turrets and magnets included. There's a picture of it, uncompleted, about midway down here:

Mad Bob also makes them, but I've never seen one in person.

I have a couple of FT-17s from Brigade Games and they went together well and are very nice (28mm). Made from Resin and Metal if I recall correctly.

Link as follows: link

Brigade is in the US – not certain on time and shipping to Denmark.

If you are considering infantry at some point, his line of 1916-1918 are excellent (to my taste) and has quite a bit of variety. I painted about 200 and did not get bored!

Hope this helps,

There isn't much to choose between the various providers, to be honest. Smaller scale 25mm figures go well with the likes of the Bolt Action and similar scale Renaults. Larger 28mm figures will be ok with the smaller scale Renaults but look good with the larger scale from Brigade Games and the likes.

The other thing to think about is whether you want the different variants, including the command version. The latter is much rarer. Empress Miniatures have an excellent example.

1st Corps is a very nice kit:

I like the Trenchworx one. I have 5 and almost bought there 1/6th scale version at HC.

I have a Trenchworkx also. Nice for sure.

The Brigade games one is the only one I've seen in the "flesh" and it is really nice. You might also want to look at Shapeways -- this guy has the CS variant as well as the command and various turret/armament combos: link Although I must say, the command and CS versions are basically iron plates rivetted toghther -- I think a good modeller could probably reproduce them without too much trouble.

I'm not a good modeller… (blush) ;-)

Thanks Erik.

We have all three versions, round turret, hex turret and the command turret.

Here are some FT 17 with Berliet turrets I 3D printed for Mike Frang of TMP.

These are 1/56 scale or 28mm.

I have Brigade Games and Trenchworx. I prefer the Trenchworx version.

Here are a few links to my some posts on my blog about building the Trenchworx kit.
