The annual "one game to rule them all" took place this weekend at the December meeting of the DWG with a rather large Muskets & Tomahawks game loosely based on the Battle of Oriskany.

Much fun was had by all with lots of toys on the table coupled with good banter and lots of laughs.

Brilliant! What fun. Love the way you handled the size and scope of the game. Would have loved to play in this one myself.

Fantastic looking game! And the figures are beautiful! I also appreciate how much work was involved in constructing the AAR.
Thanks!
Cheers from Texas!

Thanks for your comments chaps.
Our end of year game is always played in a great spirit, a celebration for the hobby and being with fiends so it was nice to continue that theme with it being the first in memory of a fellow DWG member who would have thoroughly enjoyed it himself.
Here's looking forward to more fun in 2018

Cheers

First, I understand how much impact the loss of a friend who is a gamer can be – and how long that loss can linger.

As to the game, almost exquisite. Almost because of the felt squares under the trees – the rest of the layout deserved better. But a fast setup sometimes requires compromises, so easily forgivable.

But, really, purple dice! Yee gads, gentlemen, that is a serious wargaming violation – and not just one but untold oodles of the offensive items. Okay, personal pet peeve; I loath 'buckets' of dice game just because of the detraction from the visual. Not so sure I can forgive that. ; )

Otherwise, a nice feast for the eyes.

Great looking club game. We did this battle a year ago and I have to say I don't believe there were any British units in the battle. It was an all American affair. If your counting the Natives as Americans. With the exception of the Jaegers. Almost forgot about them.

Although I had to press into service my Southern Militia and my Saratoga Militia which I hope to remedy next time and have some more trees. We have to make do with what we have.
