I'm in need of some help.

I'm trying to find some of the War Films that Toho made.

Here's some of the titles:

Retreat from Kiska
Storm over the Pacific aka I Bombed Pearl Harbor
Zero Fighter
Battle of the Japan Sea
Siege of Fort Bismarck(WWI)

These are some but there's some more which I can't remember right now.

If anyone can point me in the direction I'd be most grateful.

Thanks
Michael

Fire on the Plains.

Maybe not a Toho movie, but a still a Japanese post-war WWII movie.

Uh-oh… shouldn't have looked at this thread. Right, that's more money lost to my WWII movie addiction.

Thanks to Capt G. for bringing the topic up, and bjporter for the useful link. Hmmm? Which organ can I do without/sell to fund this new arse of 'research'?

I shouldn't have looked either! Thanks for the link – I wasn't aware of that site.

I've found a couple of them cheap(er) on eBay.

Wow: "Port Arthur" is also for sale at that link! I bought that DVD on Ebay earlier this year.

Oops… by 'arse' I meant 'area'! I blame predictive text :o)

Was suprised some of these older movies didn't make YouTube, but take it there are copyright issues between the Japanese and US.

bjporter many thanks for the link.

I just ordered 3 films:
Retreat From Kiska
Human Torpedos
I Bombed Pearl Harbor

I got myself an early Christmas present.

I plan on getting some more later on but I'm happy to have found a subtitled version of Retreat from Kiska.

I don't think it's by Toho, but Kobayashi's The Human Condition is one of the greatest war (anti-war, really)films ever made. Warning: it is very long, best taken over three nights, but is well worth viewing if you've never seen it.

I've read about The Human Condition which was done in three parts and overall it's around 9 hours or so and it might not be my cup of tea.

I got my 3 films I ordered today and watched Retreat from Kiska and I really enjoyed it,I plan on watching the other 2 over the next few days.

With the help of a friend I found another of the Toho War movies that I needed.

The film is Siege of Fort Bismarck and is about the Japanese fighting the Germans in WWI.

The movie is on a DVDR disc so I'm not sure what I can play it on but I have a DVD player,Blu-Ray machine and my computer.

The I'm getting this movie from is RareWarFilms and it has around 2,000 war films of all types.

So I can now check off another one of the Toho War films that I don't have to look for anymore.
