I'm not seeing how this is better than ordering some resin or plastic bases both of which would have better quality or, gosh, gluing things to bases. I can see the gimmick factor of printing them. But resin would have been a better option for quality control and a broader market. Congrats on reaching the funding target though, even if it did only take 25 people. |

On the subject of bases, not this KS, I've never understood the appeal of warhammer style plinth bases. I want a base that is an unobtrusive as possible i.e. thin and blends into the terrain, adding to visual aspects of the game. I suspect the raised warhammer style base was done merely to accomodate slotta figures and so torpedo use of non-wh figures. One advantage of 3dp figures is that the base can be printed with the figure, sized correctly for the rules. |
