Suppose you have written a good text here … or you see something funny … or something of historical interest … or just something of the hobbie … are there some people from your work who you can show something of this? .. someone to share? … even at lunch time …

In my case … nobody !.

Yes, frequently.

Before I retired I was fortunate enough to work with other gamers. We discussed what we saw and read on TMP, usually at lunch. There was no unofficial access to the web due to the nature of our work.

Yes.

Yes, every so often.

Hell no – this is entirely surreptitious – I am supposed to be working!

Ah … no … I was an independent contractor and now retired. So generally what happens on TMP … stays on TMP … evil grin

I sometimes force my employees to look at something on here or on CMON that I find cool.

They smile politely.

Never. My fellow workers are not gamers nor would they be interested in what goes on here (just as I am not interested in many aspects of their lives). Some would be notified at the responses of some members to some of the topics here (like in the mill them all thread). Others would be amused but puzzled over the anger, hard feelings and childish tantrum displayed in some boards like Napoleonic thread about the British and assassination attempt on Napoleon.

So… nobody carry on new fellow members here from your work?… (smile)

I post photos of Games in progress occasionally to our GroupMe blather forum.
Some want to see more. Most don't even comment.
A lot play video games or card games. A few even play 50K or RPGs.
So to them, it's just another spoke on the gaming World wheel.

To be honest, I've NEVER run into any disrespect over my hobby. I mostly encounter indifference or "Do your brushes have only one hair?" I've never recruited anyone, but that was never my intent.

As I said I rarely if ever mention my hobby …

Others would be amused but puzzled over the anger, hard feelings and childish tantrum displayed in some boards
I would never tell anyone about this aspect. Which I find the most disconcerting, etc., of whole thing. As most would find what we do as nothing but adults(?) playing with toys. Regardless what they may say to our faces. It's still toys … and " the anger, hard feelings and childish tantrum displayed " Would make us look even more … ah … "less then mature well developed adults" even if most of us are (?) …
