Here is a great analysis about the popular US Mech Company and how the new Stripes book can affect it. That extra armor could be a game changer for the Abrams. The playing field is harder for the T64/T72 crowd. link
Plus we get a nice influx of dismounts to hold/clear objectives.I think the mech platoon is a powerhouse but I've always wondered about why it was so rifle team light. Four rifle teams kind of leaves you hanging when assaulting an objective covered by whole companies of Soviet dismounts. The new rifle platoon gives you seven rifle teams. Now if only we can get them on the objectives. Hueys anyone? |

Hueys would be nice. My friend is mad that he can't get Twin Hueys and Supercobras for the Marines in 1/100. |

The playing field is harder for the T64/T72 crowd. MBTs are horribly overcosted in TY anyway, thanks to how absurdly abundant NATO ATGM/infantry blob is. Now that REDFOR has run out of options for using tanks, and every BLUFOR player can take a British mech company with a literal fistful of MILANs, let's see if TY will go down the Nam drain next year. |

Over costed? I always thought the infantry were under priced. Doesn't matter too much to me though. I usually play without points anyway. |

Over costed? I always thought the infantry were under priced. We are basically saying the same thing: I think the tanks are way too expensive for how easy they could die to ATGMs. Not to mention how resilient infantry can be for their price. |

The M106 Mortar Platoon, should be swapped with a M125 Mortar Platoon. Companies had 81mm, Battalion HHC or if you go back a couple of years the Battalion CSC had a 4.2" Mortar Platoon. At least they removed the Thermal Imaging from the M113's. |

My friend is mad that he can't get Twin Hueys and Supercobras for the Marines in 1/100. I'm pretty sure the upcoming BF plastic Huey kit has parts for the USMC option (twin engine & different nose). The AH-1 kit though looks like it will just be the current Army option. |
