We here in Texas continue our 2018 gaming project (ok, we are ahead of schedule). A number of us in the Lone Star Historical Miniatures (LSHM) club located throughout Texas have made 28mm ACW using Fire&Fury Regimental as our base rules.

We decided to use Gettysburg as our base for building Orders of Battle. I have decided to build the VI Corps of the Army of the Potomac. I have completed the First Brigade of the 1st Division. We are using the Osprey Classic Battles book "Gettysburg 1863" as our primary reference. The rules call for a base to equal 40 men:

I am using primarily Old Glory figures with a mix of Saber&Sash, ACW Gamer by Raven Banner Games, and other figures.

I am using the VI corps symbol of the red cross to distinguish each unit, the 1st Division used the cross on a white background. Each regiment is labeled. I use basic US and state flags for each regiment.

The brigade command will have a mounted and foot command figure on a round stand. I plan to use 2 mounted for the Divisional command stand and three for the Corps command.

Here are some close ups of the labeling. I attach a triangle piece of balsa to the back of the stand to give it a 45 degree angle for ease of reading while standing above the formations on the tabletop.

Our plan is to fight a small battle over the Christmas holidays to get a feel of the rules, next year we plan some pretty big battles!

You'll need labels with unit info example:

You'll have fun, rules play well. Your figures look great.

Nice troops Charlie.
I know you told me before but how are you creating those labels?
