The German sidecar motorcycles got a lot of pressure during the Blitzkrieg, but the French forces are forgotten. Anyone know if the third wheel was driven on the French motorcycles? |

To answer my own question: "The 800cc AX2 combination with drive to the sidecar wheel introduced in 1937 remained in production through the war years (as did the Model R), with the company supplying engines and other machinery to the occupying forces." link I hadn't realized that Gnome et Rhone was still in existence as SNECMA. |

Gnome et Rhône supplied the engines for the HS 129, IIRC. |
