The Aries is the first dedicated Battleship produced for the great Zodiac War with the humorless Infernal Sing-Ons. The conflict that was started over a "Yo Mamma" joke at a diplomatic dinner that was originally meant to bring the Empire and the F. E. D. s (Financially Enlightened Dominators) together by a cultural exchange. As it turned out the FED diplomatic Corp received more than a black eye over the huge oversight that the Sing-Ons didn't actually possess a 'sense-of-humor'. The rest of the Zodiac fleet is available here: link

Oh yes the Axanar ships I have these in metal. So do these come in metal as well? |
stumer | 29 Nov 2017 8:38 p.m. PST |
Capt. These are the same that you speak of, but we can't use the "A-Word"… |
Fergo113 | 30 Nov 2017 3:07 a.m. PST |
"we can't use the "A-Word"…" You mean Aardvark? :) |
Captain Gideon | 30 Nov 2017 9:08 a.m. PST |
I can think of another A-Word but I won't mention it. |

Woo Hoo! Ordered one of each. Any updates on when the 1:3788 Woomera ships will be available? |
stumer | 30 Nov 2017 5:31 p.m. PST |
Sorry, I'm still waiting on Martin to have time to make the final adjustments to the files so that they can be shrunk and printed… :'( |

I'm excited to see these in a general release, and not have to pay to join the kickstarter to get some. In my experience, Studio Bergstrom's models are well cast, and go together great. Gonna put in an order for some, I've wanted miniatures of these older Starfleet ships from the 2009 movie since it came out; mating the designs with TOS nacelles improves them over the originals in my humble opinion. Some questions for Mr. Bergstrom: 1. Were any of the Klingon ships done as part of the original commission for "A" ? If so, will they be available ? 2. Any plans or thoughts to expand the range with some more ships? For example, a Connie using the same style of saucer, secondary hull and nacelles ? 3. Any plans to do these in the smaller 3788 scale? These are great, good luck!

Thanks! 1. These were made to work well with existing minis already available, and while I'd planned to add more to the Sing-On line none have been produced… Yet. 2. More could be made if there is additional requests, but you may also wish to check out the Woomera line in my catalog. 3. Yes, again if there is enough interest in the 1:3788 scale expressed. Thanks again! 'Drew |

So what has changed legally that has allowed you to sell these designs outside of the Kickstarter? Last I heard the lawsuit was settled but didn't hear anything new about the donor store. |
stumer | 01 Dec 2017 8:39 p.m. PST |
These were drawn and produced by me. They are not owned by paramount, and not covered by any lawsuit. They have their own names, backgrounds, etc. That is all, they are covered under the laws of parody. |
Captain Gideon | 01 Dec 2017 8:51 p.m. PST |
If these ships are identical to the ones that the people from "A" were selling(albeit in metal)then why can you sell them? |
stumer | 01 Dec 2017 9:11 p.m. PST |
They are one and the same, and all previous agreements are now null and void. |
Akalabeth | 02 Dec 2017 12:38 p.m. PST |
Oh curious. I'd always assumed that the end of a contractual agreement would take away the right to sell something, not remove restrictions and grant unlimited rights. |
stumer | 02 Dec 2017 1:05 p.m. PST |
These were drawn, printed, and produced by me. All past agreements are void, and I have the right to sell my work. |
Akalabeth | 02 Dec 2017 1:28 p.m. PST |
If the design are not owned by Paramount and are not covered by the lawsuit then surely the rights to the designs still lie with original artist or the Axanar production team? So logically if Axanar granted you to the right to produce these, and that agreement is now null and void, then you have lost the right to produce these. That's how contracts work. As for the law of parody, that requires the work to be transformative and typically a criticism or satire of the original work. I'm not sure that selling a carbon copy, just with a mispelt name, counts as transformative. |
stumer | 02 Dec 2017 4:06 p.m. PST |
Wrong, I do have permission. As for parody and laws governing them, unless you are a lawyer, I would ask that you keep your opinions to yourself… |
Akalabeth | 02 Dec 2017 10:10 p.m. PST |
How do you have permission if all past agreements are "null and void"? Your previous posts cited your personal "rights" and said nothing about permission from Axanar. |
stumer | 02 Dec 2017 10:28 p.m. PST |
Akalabeth you are completely ignorant of the details, and I am not going to go into everything to someone trolling me for their own satisfaction. I have already stated that these are mine to distribute, and that is all you need to know… |
Akalabeth | 02 Dec 2017 10:43 p.m. PST |
Actually you were entirely forthcoming with the details. You told us all agreements were "null and void". Then you claimed you had the right to sell them because it's your work. Then you claimed to have permission. And after I pointed out that the permission claim didn't match up with your previous posts, you now say you're withholding some secret information. So, your original agreement which didn't allow you to sell Axanar models, but to only produce them for sale by Axanar through their donor store is now "null and void", and in the wake of that contract being expired or cancelled, it has granted you the right to not only continue producing the miniatures but to sell them as well. Okay |

Good grief Akalabeth give it a rest dude. Be grateful you can finally get these again. I've wanted some for ages. Stumer has given us an early Christmas present :) |
