I once met a gamer who was writing a novel based on events of his Aces of the Deep campaign. Is this how you base your narrative?

As I came to wargsming via RPGs, I've always preferred some kind of narrative to all my games. The 'Tales of the Black Museum' started as a filler post – a bit of story illustrated with some black and white pictures of some of the characters/figures that I was planning on using in a future AAR. It's kind of grown from that, with intertwined plots and characters, with the story kind of dictating what games are played. It's a lot of fun and combines various different aspects of our hobby into one hopefully cohesive whole.
