Kind of on topic: Does anyone know the background of small arms development post-WWII in Europe? There were different standard weapons across countries but now it looks like they are starting to settle on one type. If there's a book I should be reading on it feel free to offer up titles. Or am I thinking it was more diverse than it actually was? The rifles that I'm thinking of are the G3, FAMAS, SLR, and others, compared to the "M4/416" style. |
