I am in Bracknell, just outside London, on business. What are some good game stores in the London area?

Thanks- Bert

This question comes up frequently, Burt. Here are links to previous threads. They are in order by the most recent "last post".

I am jealous. Haven't been to Britain for almost 7 years now. Too long.

BTW – just go to the message board section and do a title search for "London" to find other London-related threads.

The only one that I'm still aware of is "Orc's Nest" just off Charing Cross Road (where is meets Shaftesbury Avenue). More of a fantasy plac,e but it does sell wargames rules and accessories, and stocked Renegade minis last time I was there.

Don't forget the Essex miniatures shop, As well as all their miniatures they also sell rules, terrain Osprey books etc.

If you're in Bracknell, there's Esdevian Games in Aldershot

As well as Orc's Nest, there's also Leisure Games in Finchley Central, London.

Orcs nest, Lesuire Games

For kits and plstic figures, The Model Shop Harrow on the Hill had a wide selection and did some wargaming stuff but only as an aside to their main railway and kit stuff. Model Zone at the Holborn end of Shaftsbury Ave seems to be the flag ship store or has a very wargames savvy manager/stock controler. Hannants (.co.uk) right next to colindale tube has about the best kit selection you will ever see. Comet in Lavender Hill if its sci-fi collectables you want or old collectable kits.

Books, Foyles and Motor Books motorbooks.co.uk are both off the charring cross road. well worth a rumage. Note there are two Motor books in the same street, Only one is totaly given over to millitary stuff (2 floors), the other is all steam trains, cars and everything else self propelled, they are about 2 doors apart so if your in the wrong one, go 2 doors down.
