"It begins after the fall of the city of Acre, the Templar's last stronghold in the Holy Land, where the Holy Grail is lost. Years later, a clue emerges suggesting the whereabouts of the Grail and sends the Templars, led by the noble, courageous and headstrong Templar Knight Landry (Tom Cullen), on a life or death mission to find the lost Cup of Christ. From their battles in the Holy Land, to their clash with the King of France, to the dark events leading to the demise of the Templar Order on Friday the 13th, 1307, a date which became synonymous with bad luck, the story of the Knights Templar has never been fully told until now. Focusing on themes such as belief, sacrifice, politics, love, power and revenge, KNIGHTFALL goes deep into the clandestine world ofthis legendary brotherhood of warrior monks to find out who these knights were, how they lived, and what they died believing."

Don't have much hope for this series.

Since it's History channel, is this before or after the Knights Templar moved treasures to Oak Island?

I just hope it will be enjoyable fantasy.

I remain skeptical

I enjoyed the first two – especially the Acre scenes in #1. But this week when I checked in to view #3 on my iPad it was locked. If this is a ploy to offer some free viewings and then lock the rest to get money out of me on top of viewing their ads then they've lost me.
Looks like they're doing the same with Vikings. Four seasons and a couple of episodes of season 5 were free and now they've locked up the next three new episodes for season 5.

Mardady. This is before they moved their treasure to OAK Island. The show does at least give a reason why King of France wanted to destroy Templars They slept with his wife.

I see the knights templars also were of the opinion that proper formation and shields were useless things in war

Rousing this thread from hibernation to see if anyone has more to say on what was good or bad in this 10-episode series…

Overall not bad. Alternative universe history like Vikings.

Not sure it got picked up for second season but well worth a watch.
