The Battle of Rolica was the first action I fought using 6mm figs with General de Brigade rules. It was the first of my long term project of working through the Peninsular War battles in chronological order. I have since removed skirmishers and imported a reworked command and control version from Grande Armee rules. Hope you enjoy the photos and a AAR is on my blog grymauch.blogspot.co.uk

Wonderful looking game and I have spent an enjoyable time looking through your blog. You have done what I have planned with Adler's at 1:20. Most of Waterloo done (minus Prussians). Lots of other nations. Have just bought the Austrians, Russians and Prussians to do 1812, 1813 and 1814. Years of painting ahead of me. Richard |

Hi Richard. When I started my Waterloo project (about 8 years ago!) I agonised over whether I should buy Adler or Baccus. Adler are superb figures and their cavalry in particular are excellent. I am not a fast painter though and I found that I could paint Baccus quicker than Adler and that in the end was the deciding factor. Most of my artillery pieces are Adler though and I have a handful of Adler Generals. I do have Prussians painted and am desperately trying to resist the urge to buy Austrians and Russians. Hence the Peninsular War project to divert my attention! Jon |
