And the ‘53 attack on Moncada Barack's including the subsequent battles in Sierra Maestra. Any Korean War/ Vietnam uniforms would do I presume? Not sure about the weapons used.

Looks like typical ww2 weapons and khaki uniforms, caps ans US helmets.

Those look like some good scenarios to wargame … And IIRC at The Bay of Pigs the Cuban defectors/ Brigade 2506 had some WWII Stuart Lgt Tanks(M5s ?). And saw pics of Castro's forces using T-34/85s and SU 85s and/or 100s.

But saltflats is correct AFAIK about weapons and equipment. I thought I saw some of them were wearing, maybe be the 2506's Para unit, the WWII US camo uniform. That was mostly seen in the PTO. But in both theaters it was rare …

My 'source' for Bay of Pigs says Brigade 2506 had 5 M41 Tanks, 10 'deuce and a half' trucks, 3 jeeps and a bulldozer for vehicles. Uniforms where a one piece light green overall for the para and duck hunter camouflage for the infantry. Small arms and support weapons were US WWII surplus.

I've got something on the insurgency as well somewhere.

Good to know ! I don't know where I got the idea they had M5 ? But I don't know how well the M41s would stand up to T 34/85s and SU-100s. Probably it would come down to crew effectiveness, field craft, etc. Of course the 2506 only had 5 tank vs. many times more by Castro's forces.

… And yep … just checked link … 5 M41s …

Apparently Cuba had M3's, M4's and 15 Comets – though obviously they'd also taken receipt of 4 T54, 36 T-34/85, 30-odd Su-100 and 60 BTR-152s plus a heck of a lot of artillery and small arms. A less lopsided scenario in gaming terms would be a pre-Soviet delivery Bay of Pigs.
