It seems like the Austrians were always fighting Napoleon. While there is an unofficial army list for the Austrians, there is no official army list for Sharp Practice. But, do the Austrians bring much that the Spanish don't? They are both "whitecoats" and will look similar on the table. Their soldiers ranged from very good to terribly bad. Austrians have militia, and the Spanish have guerrillas. So, is there any point in putting together an Austrian army? |

Is there any point to putting together painted figures? Just use generic counters and apply the characteristics….seriously tho, same reason one does any army…..love of the force, atmosphere, imagination….. |

I was asked a long time ago by a good friend with tons of 15mm Napoleonic troops why anyone would want to do American Revolution, particularly in 25mm. I was asked by a dealer of 25mm Ancients why I would possibly want to do Carthaginians. This was before his dealership started to import them. He thought that not being a killer army in WRG Ancients tournament play rendered them useless. |

Does Sharpe's Practice have any army lists for any armies that did not fight in the Peninsula? |

For light troops the Austrians do have the regular Jagers (in grey) who were partially armed with rifles as well as the savage Grenzers (in brown) who were a semi-regular border militia on the frontier with the Ottoman Turkish Empire. They made great raiders, skirmishers and scouts against Napoleon. As Sharp Practice is a skirmish game these both would be interesting troop types to play with. |
