As well as unveiling our new club banner, this month saw four games staged by members of the club including a Saxon versus Romano-British 28mm game using Dux Bellorum.
If you would like to see more about this game and thoughts on the play, just follow the link to the club blog. link Jonathan (JJ) |

Thanks for posting. The figures look great. I like the chips you use. I wonder how did you make the holders for the little red dice? I have only read through Dux Bellorum, never played it. I am collecting a Romano-British (King Arthur) army for Lion Rampant or Dragon Rampant and it seems they are a bit easier to work than Dux Bellorum. I hope you don't mind if I use your figures as some inspiration for painting mine. |

Hi, glad you enjoyed the read and the pictures of Nick's collection and take as much inspiration as you can. The mini-dice holders are simply dice frames applied to shall round bases. The frames can be got from Mini-bits. I've played Dragon Rampant and I have to say both sets give an entertaining game though I prefer Dux Bellorum specifically for Dark Age/Early Medieval, which are very straight forward but give a nice feel for the period and the different forces. I wish I could hop on a plane and participate. These figures are excellent. |
