I've just found a long lost box of Hallmark WW11 coastal 1/6000 I think.

Could anyone suggest a good set of rules?

I would like to paint up and bring to my local club, so a rule set that is simple enough for non navel gamers to pick up quite quickly would be good.

Thanks for your help.

"Action stations" is a good, standard, set.

We still use "Coastal Command"; though we did a revised version for use with hexes.

"Flaklighter" works for us. Though we use 1/600. Can't imagine how tiny a PT boat must be at 1/6000.

Another vote for Action Stations…brilliant set of rules!

Hallmark are 1/1200 – 1/6000 would be like grains of rice :)

As well as my "Action Stations" rules mentioned above (which I have just realised are in their 20th year this year!) I have a set of free fast play rules called "Schnell Rules for Schnell Boote" which you can find here…

Thanks for the info guys, I'll pick up a copy of Action Stations to get us going.

Thanks David, just bookmarked your page, and yes they are 1/1200.

Just need to make space on the painting table now….

Let me know if your eyes get tired and I can set you up in 1/600 :)

Had some modern 1/3000 helicopters periodically mistaken for bird poop.

"Hallmark are 1/1200 – 1/6000 would be like grains of rice :)"

LOL. An E-boat in 1:6000 scale would be 0.4826 millimeters in length ….. i.e., a tad less than one-half of one millimeter. Electron microscope required for IFF.

BTW – You'll like Action Stations". Good rules stand the test of time.

Correction from a math-challenged Faber College drop-out.

114 / 6000 = 0.019 feet.

0.019 x 305mm (one foot) = 5.8mm or the approximate length of a grain of rice. Therefore, a good magnifying glass would probably suffice for IFF.

Another for Action Stations.

Good for Coastal convoy work
