This is what was interesting to me. The wrongful act was: A committee member for the association, Elie Dangoor, said Monday that three independent witnesses saw Simmons put a hand with freshly drawn letter tiles back into a bag to draw more tiles — contrary to the rules. The headline reads:
Scrabble star banned from the game for 'cheating' Why does Fox News call it 'cheating' instead of just cheating? The quotation marks diminish the word -- like writing Fox 'News'. The act alleged was just plain cheating. |
