They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

(Sorry, something wrong with the website this morning.)

Amen
We remember our veterans today in the USA. Sadly many people only see special sales @ stores & not the sacrifice that allows us to have them.

Semper Fi to all my Brothers and Sisters in every country who choose to accept the duty and responsibility of defending what they believed in and protecting those who couldn't.

I always set aside a part of my day to remember my grandfather and father in law on this day. Both were wounded combat veterans who seldom talked about what they experienced but did share with me a small part of it. Both lived long lives, raised and supported their families. I hope that they have found peace.

My small memorial for them on my blog;

A tribute of appreciation and respect to all who served in the service of this great country, especially my ancestors, starting with the American Revolution, the Civil War, WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, the Cold War, Panama, Desert Storm, and the War on Terror.Thank you all for your service to this great nation and contribution to history!

To quote one of my colleagues five year old grandson:
" It's not just about granddads and great granddads Nannie, it's about brothers , dads and uncles".
At which we all shared a tear on the floorplate.
