Good find, there are a few editions of Grant's Memoirs in print at the moment, this one looks to be more useful. |

I know the editor, Dr. John Marszalek, and can testify that his historical works are very well done. If you are interested in the ACW and don't already have a copy of Grant's Memooirs then I wholeheartedly recommend you get this edition. Jim P.S. Note that the US Grant Presidential Library is located at my alma mater in my home state – Mississippi State University. Kind of ironic, isn't it? |

Grant's memoirs are, and have been since they were first published, rated very highly. There are a few places, however, where his memory doesn't match the facts. |
