How many "rank and file" combatants are your heroic characters "worth"? Four men? Ten men? A hundred? I like veteran/elite forces to be 4:1 with grunts and heroic figures to be 10:1. |

Mine are about 4:1 regarding veterans and 6:1 regarding lowest level troops. I had never thought about it before. |

In my game, characters/heroes need to fight intelligently if they want to do well/live. But when played tactfully they can slaughter scads of rank and file over the course of a typical melee. I think that four to one is a good estimation of c. how many enemies a "typical" hero can cope with. |
