Queens Blade
Should I be ashamed I know what anime she's from?

GypsyComet01 Nov 2017 8:02 p.m. PST

Queen's Blade started as the setting for the Japanese license of Lost Worlds, the fighting gamebook with its roots in Ace of Aces and still published by Flying Buffalo. Rick Loomis of Flying Buffalo (who I see at local conventions once or twice a year) gets the QB gamebooks from Japan as part of the license agreement and has them on his convention table with more than a little bemusement at the whole thing. The books proved popular enough, likely due to the cheesecake as much or more than being a game, that it spawned a manga and anime, and even display models like the one above, something the Japanese do a great many of.
