Display. Game. Either way it's great. And the figures appear to be "based" so not a diorama in The traditional sense

Brilliant modelling. OK, Plancenoit looks a bit Spanish, once past the church.

I'd say he could have made even more of this…..

Is this a wargame illustration?…no. Marc is right

Is it a panorama…yes, but you do see the bases of the figures.

Just imagine low angle photos of this.

Who is the chap who does a wonderful series of Ligny, Wavre, Placenoit etc? Burning interiors, street scenes, fields so realistic that one thinks from a film. That is the aim here.

Modern digital cameras make this so easy (mine is 12 years old.)..how I miss my Dental Eye II Yashica that I gave to the local charity shop…..…ring flash, motor drive, 35mm slide film, macros lens to die for….totally obsolete technology….but what a camera. Even my slide digitiser is now gone.
