Who makes 15mm WWI late French that are similiar in 'size' to the battlefront ones?
So far my impression is that Peter Pig will be smaller and Blue Moon bigger.
Is this correct?

Battlefront and Peter Pig are near enough the same size. If anything, BF are slightly smaller. Blue Moon is definitely bigger but I doubt there would be a problem if they are in different units.
