Now that I have received my Ghost Archipelago stuff, and looking at the scenarios, is there a good UK manufacturer of table top cloths that simulate water ? (Not open ocean, more inland) First time I've bought a table cloth other than grass/sand. So I'm all at sea. ;-> |

You can get clear plastic that you can lay over your ground cloth to make it look wet. Then "hills" are placed to show the dryer portions |

Check out terrainmat.com or Cigar Box Battle Mats. You can also just use blue vinyl – or brown vinyl for muddy rivers. Vinyl makes a great gaming surface, because it's smooth (so miniatures slide across it) and immune to drink spills and rings. - Ix |

You may wish to try finding "marine vinyl" at a cloth store. Normally used to recover boat seats. Typically available in 56" wide in the USA, and any length long. I have a blue green with slight indents that look like waves from a height. Very inexpensive compared to commercial mats. |
