I have been looking for an easy free way to post pics since Photobucket went sideways. I don't really want to mess with another photobucket look alike.

I have figured out that by copying the pics from another forum where I can directly host pics and then editing the text by adding the "img" html text it works or at least I think it does.

Can everyone see this picture?

Seems to work with other sites where there are embedded pictures.

Dervel what you did worked but it sounds fiddly. TMP needs to make it as easy as possible to post pictures. This would greatly increase contributions.

It wasn't that bad…

I right click the picture as displayed, copy and paste to the TMP post.

Then add the img prefix and ending to the link.

I just click and drag photos from other sites, usually my blog, and then add the img tags around the link.

On BGG I can click and drag, and the site automatically adds the tags.

In this case, you have to use the img tags because there is nothing about the link which tells our server it is a picture; it doesn't end in .jpg or .gif, for example.

The other things to be concerned about is that some sites will limit how often an image can be viewed 'outside' of the original website, and in some cases, whether it can be viewed at all. So you can have a case where you can see the picture you posted, for example, but the 20th person to read the topic gets no picture.

Bill, seen this too, why I am asking if others can see what I am posting…

I can see the picture.

I just tried to use foto-google, but I can`t get the link to show a picture. The URL starts with HTTPS (secure link) and no extension of jpeg/gif or something similar. Any advice how to use the link from foto google?
Thanks in advance

Just checking Google Photos …
The generated "Share Link" doesn't seem to work …

But right-clicking on the image in my album and saving the image link does … weird…

Sorry, Van Damme: That was using the img tags…

Bill: can you type in an example of what the url or whatever it is called looks like with the img posted to the end?

Sometimes my pix post, other times i only get a link. It seems hit or miss. I have the jpeg designation on all of my pictues. Please help.
