We would like to contact Arty Conliffe (author of the excellent Crossfire and Spearhead wargame rules) but he doesn't seem to have a presence on the web these days and there is no response from his old Crossfire website.

Can anyone point us in the right direction?

Shawn Taylor (Great War Spearhead fame) is able to contact Arty. I can email you Shawn's contact details if you don't have them. Arty is a very private person when it comes to his rules, etc.

He locked himself in the bathroom a few decades ago in order to concentrate on Tactica 2 or 3. We've since retired and moved a few times. I'll swing by the old place and slip a note under the door….

There is a very inactive Tactica yahoo group where he will sometimes post messages of praise to the group in Scotland who are play testing his Tactica 2 rules which have for a long time said to be finished and their publication imminent.

Yeah. I was on that group. Like I said, I have heard that refrain for 17 years now. Last imminent publication was 5 or so years ago, IIRC. Arty is an incredible author. Crossfire is truly revolutionary. I just think if it was going to be released it would have happened already.

Perhaps Timecast want to contact Arty to make him an offer he can't refuse :)
