Over the weekend I finished the Battle of Cheraw game that was generated by my on-going South Carolina 1780 Campaign. Cornwallis and Gates have clashed at Cheraw, South Carolina, resulting in a crushing British victory over the rebels.

Visit my Der Alte Fritz Journal blog for the complete report that includes 18 pictures of the game in progress. All figures shown in the picture are Fife & Drum 1/56 scale figures and the terrain was made by Herb Gundt.

It looks great. The smoke puffs are a nice touch.

Der Alte Fritz: Just received my Minden figures of Grenadiers de France, ("Grand Duchy of Chardonnay") a couple of days ago. Only hope to do them some justice. Thanks, John Miller

DAF,

Where did you get your game mat? Did you make it yourself?

The game mat was made by The Terrain Guy, sadly now out of business.

Nice looking game. I just love those F&D miniatures, got a ton. Going to keep me busy for awhile.

Lovely looking game – the 'fallen trees' simple, free, one of many nice scenic touches
