They remind me of a bronze statue of an ancient Egyptian dancer that was on my family's mantle for all of my childhood. It was about 8 inches tall, on a white marble base, in a pose much like the one on the right. My father brought it back from a trip to Egypt in the 1950s. He had been a sailor. |
