Has anyone tried Mark Sims Great Battles Hex War? I have been looking for reviews or any discussion but haven't found anything but ads. I was wondering if anyone had actually played it and what their thoughts were, thanks TMP brain trust.

Never heard of it. Rule book, boardgame, PC game?

I've thought about it since I do like their March Attack rules. For only $9 USD on Wargamers Vault, I should take the plunge.

I own it but haven't read it.

I have thought about it, but I always trip up over the fact that commercial hex terrain is lovely but expensive, and I have never really found a satisfactory way of doing 3D home-made hill hexes. Perhaps I will give it a go as a DIY boardgame one day.
