Just wondered how compatible these manufacturers FIW ranges are? The photos I've seen look like they may well be but I've not seen either 'in the metal'!
Any advice about either range' or any other 28mm range for that matter?

Thanks.

Galloping Major are large- considerably larger than the metal Warlord/Conquest FIW. I haven't seen Redoubt in the metal, but from what I've heard about their size I'd think they'd be close.

Redoubt has a large FIW range including canoes, long boats as well as figures representing the various nationalities involved. Redoubt figures are large with some inconsistency in height and bulk. Looking at my Galloping Major militia in comparison to the majority of Redoubt figs, I'd say they make a good match

Agreed. I have both and they match up well.

Thanks guys. I'm looking to get some French regulars to go with the Galloping Major irregulars I have and Redoubt appear a sound option.
Thanks again for your time.

I have Galloping Major/North Star and Redoubt in my collection they all look fine together. I also have AW miniatures who are perhaps a tad bigger but mix in well enough too. The only comment I would have is that I would choose one manufacturer only for any regular units if possible. Militia, First nations and so on will mix fine across all these.
