In my humble opinion grin this is the second greatest television series ever. (Game of Thrones …… cough cough cough…..)

Kevin Spacey is the ideal cynical manipulating politician.

SPOILER ALERT.

He always seems to support the "right" issues, and is ruthless in pursuing his goals.
He is the best President ever to be on tv.
Except for the fact that he murders people…

My kids love it. Have you seen the BBC original on which is based? An excellent miniseries based on a novel written by a senior member of the Conservative Party and reputedly drawing on Macbeth and Richard III for inspiration. Kevin Spacey's adaptation is a worthy successor

Yes, I have seen the BBC series.
I love the Shakespearean "asides".

I have the BBC on DVD and rewatch it every so often.

Agreed on Kevin Spacey. I do not see the series as issue driven; and (my opinion) it would be political to say his character is "right" or "wrong" on any of the few that have cropped up.

I see his one and only goal is to stay in power forever, any other position is out of convenience or necessity to strengthen that one goal.

I somewhat agree with Winston, GOT #1, but I was partial to Deadwood and Rome. That would make HoC #4 on my scorecard.

We binge-watch it every new season.
