Really they are later French Hussars- wearing the mirliton cap introduced into the French regular Hussar regiments in 1747. Prior to this the hussars wore a low bearskin cap with a hanging bag. The Bercheny Regt (No 1) kept its old style caps till just before the SYW. Nice figures. Horses are rather large for c18th French Hussars. |
