They look nice – well done

I love everything but the shape of the US Helmet. The Camo is well done, but the shape looking head-on looks German. The camo netting should be fixed under the hard shell and liner tightly- without the bowed out appearance. Also, there is a slight downward bow around the ears as the helmet does not sit flush when set on a flat surface. (On at least one fig, the helmet looks to be a straight line from front to back.)

That said, I'd still want a lot of them, Leon! Do you still sell direct these 20mm figs?

Thanks for the imput Tom,
I hear what your saying but I think you'll see when they get painted that they will look correct. The helmets have camo fabric strips threaded through the netting, on these pics with the bright lighting that tends to alter the look of the helmet somewhat and you cant really see the camo strips.
Make a final judgement when you see the painted pics.
Yes we sell direct but these wont be on sale till Christmas time still have a lot of figures to make and off the design bench until mid November.

Lovely sculpts Leon!
The helmets look fine to me.

finally some new US airborne!

Simo Hayha03 Oct 2017 7:44 p.m. PST

please make 30 cals and 60mm mortars

Skarper03 Oct 2017 11:27 p.m. PST

Nice. All armed with M1 Garands too. Nearly all carried this weapon with various SMGs and M1 carbines very much in the minority.

Lots of .30 cals of course. Would be nice to have the M1919A6 on bipod in addition to the M1919A3 on the tripod.

I'm sure you'll get round to a complete range in due course.

I could see what the poster meant about the helmets but the features mentioned ARE there, just subtle. These are 20mm not the cartoonish 28mms some people are used to.

Wish I were in the running for some of these. So much lovely stuff being produced nowadays.

Dude, you're really making me regret switching to 15mm for my WW2…

Look great! My only complaint is a lack of prone poses.

LeonAdler Sponsoring Member of TMP05 Oct 2017 1:08 a.m. PST

donlowry,
love making prone poses ( see sniper on here) but they are not so popular sales wise so have to be an 'add on' rather than basic range. If sales justify it maybe later but a lot of figures to get done first.

Don't know why people wouldn't want 'em; after all, the first thing many troops do when the shooting starts is hit the dirt!

Murvihill05 Oct 2017 10:50 a.m. PST

They're harder to pick up. Mind you, that doesn't stop me from using them.

christot05 Oct 2017 1:17 p.m. PST

Personally I love prone poses, but…I understand why many folks don't. Given that probably the majority of 20mm players go for single basing they are not ideal, I usually multi-base prone figures…normally 2 figures on a 40mm base

This Ones For The Sarge06 Oct 2017 6:53 a.m. PST

Very tempting!

Size wise how do these compare with AB figures?

donlowry06 Oct 2017 8:56 a.m. PST

Why would you need to "base" a prone figure?

LeonAdler Sponsoring Member of TMP06 Oct 2017 12:06 p.m. PST

Well in my case to make them easier to handle and to protect the figure from handling. I try to make the cast on base as thin as possible and of course some figures are cast without a cast on base. But everyone has a different way of doing things :)

To me, a base is just a necessary evil to keep the figure from toppling over -- since a prone figure is already "over," I don't base it.

One nice feature of your figures pictured here is the small size of the bases -- which should be no larger than absolutely necessary. (But wider is better than thicker.) I can always glue them to a bit of plastic card, if needed.
