Neat models. However, white washing is a C20th thing rather like black exposed beams, that you see on ECW buildings, is a Victorian invention. In previous eras the buildings are more likely to have been various yellows and warm earth colours.

My comment on Tango's posting was that this would be a nasty place to assault. Those multiple enclosed courtyards would make it impregnable……
