make some models that really tempt me to purchase just to paint them. Their entire line of alternative 40K (I guess they get away with not being sued by GW for IP infringement) are simply fantastic. Now be warned some of the models are NSFW. Regardless, while browsing their site I came across this not Abbadon figure. It really captures the character I think.

not enough Skulls

Awesome figure, but for Abaddon, I'd not have the "Nurgle" symbol worked into his backpack vents. I guess it is upside down… :)

Edit – I went ahead and got him anyway. Decent prices also.

Let us know if the casting is as neat and clean as the pictures.

I guess it's a cg design. If it were not for the scratches on the base I would have assumed it a screen shot.

Note some apparent air bubbles at the bottom of the last picture, on the edge of the lowest metal sheeting. I would assume production casts may not get off so lightly.

To answer the question. It looks like a good enough alternative to me.

Now Neal, we all know Abbadon has the favor of all of the chaos gods despite not being able to pull off a single win in any of his crusades.:) He looks great as an alternative Abby, though I'd file off the mohawk.

Ah, but Neal, the Cadian Gate did fall, there is now a great warp rift in the fabric of space which has effectively sundered the Imperium of Man in half. And who achieved this????

That would be Abby. Since he is the scion of all four powers of Chaos perhaps this was just as planned (Tzeentch) 13 Black Crusades would have harvested lots and lots of skulls and seen many a mighty battle as well as a number of epic duels fought between heroes (Khorne), of course all this conflict would bring about pestilence and decease, (Nurgle) and I am sure there were those who indulged in all kinds of vices during these conflicts to their own edification which would be fine with (Slaneesh.)

Plus this has, if we are to follow the fluff, greatly weakened the Imperium of Man leaving it now ripe for that final showdown at Terra. Maybe…

@Moonbeast, the Mohawk does not bother me. It is better than the over the top…erm topknot that is on the current 20 + year old figure of Abby.

If you think Abaddon failed, you are assuming that the goal of each crusade was to "conquer the imperium". I guess by that standard, he did.

However, if you read about the previous crusades, he obtained a powerful magic weapon, captured a blackstone fortress, and achieved many other goals to prepare for the final attack to break Cadia. He still didn't "conquer the Imperium", so I guess the latest is not a "Win" either.

I like the tau stuff they do the skimmers are nice

And Centurio Prime for the win. Abby is not the armless wonder some would like to think. He is a master tactician who has taken the long view and his plans are coming to fruition.

Doublkesix66, their Tau stuff is…kind of nice. The female Tau fire warriors would certainly turn a few heads. It is tempting to do a Tau force just to have a few of those models interspersed to make the other players do a double take. Oh and yes the skimmers are nice as well.
