Auxiliaries didn't carry pila, as far as we know.

They look nice, especially the chap getting ahead in the Roman army. ;-)

I'm not certain whether the wolfskin (whilst looking great) is accurate, however. I recall reading that the illustations of auxiliaries wearing wolfskins in Armies and Enemies of Imperial Rome may have been misinterpretations of images of standard bearers. Auxiliary standard bearers certainly wore wolfskins, but with the faces cut off.

These along with Aventine are the absolute best in 28mm right now. Plastic has made 28mm viable for me… sigh. 3 scales of Romans and counting… lol
