Just finished a Viking vs Saxon historical battle using the Hail Caesar rules. Part two on the blog features the AAR with lots of pics.

… and here it is. Looks like a fun game. Usually we hear about blunders or failed command rolls at critical times in games of Hail Caesar; were you playing with the blunder rules?

Yes…..there were.a couple blunders……but not at critical times……as for command rolls, the Vikings were hurt by a couple failures……..having Alfred gave the Saxons a re-roll capability and that helped a lot.
