Hi everyone:

Hydra Miniatures is proud to announce Solar Studios, a collaboration between Hydra Miniatures and fan Sol Chin, who is best known for his incredible retro sci-fi buildings and terrain. These 30mm retro sci-fi civilian miniatures are inspired by the cartoons and comics of yesteryear and were sculpted by Aaron Brown. The first four product codes have been molded and are slated for release on Friday, September 22nd on the Hydra Miniatures online store here:

We are very excited by this joint venture and have a lot of new sculpts in the pipeline from Solar Studios!

Very retro.

Really nice to dot around your game. Makes me think of Nova city in the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie.

More of my money going to disappear if these become available in the UK.

Just when I think my retro sci-fi purchasing is done…

We were just talking about civilians. Those are nice. 30mm makes them giants on my table, unfortunately. What if I set a game on a world with low gravity? Would that account for very tall people?

Dude, she has an ALF doll! That's rad!

Dang, Darkest Star, I missed that. I think my head just exploded.

Edit – or it could be the real alien, in which case we'll need cats in 28mm as a food source.

Oberlindes Sol LIC--they are 30mm but most miniatures marketed as 28mm are 30mm or larger. They would mix with most sci-fi manufacturers.

Been waiting for these a long time! :-)
